CIPC does not issue share certificate or keep any record of share certificate and track of ownership of your company. Therefore every company that works with shares must have a Company Register and Minute Book.

BEE affidavit/accountants letter for EME’s
B-BBEE Affidavits can be certified and be used instead of the B-BBEE Certificate by Exempt Micro Enterprises (EME’s). This can serve as verification for Exempted Micro Enterprises (EME’s).
Accountant letters are used If you are self employed then this letter can support your claim that you are receiving an income.
Annual CIPC turnover reports
All companies by law including external companies as well as closed corporations are by law required to file their annual returns. The purpose for the filing of such annual returns is to confirm whether a company or closed corporation is still in business and trading . Annual returns are regarded as a sort of ” Company Renewal”
If annual returns are not filed within the time period, CIPC then makes the assumption that the company or Closed Corporation is no longer trading or is inactive and therefore deregistration process will begin and the company will no longer exist.
